Cookie and Local Storage Policy

The site sets no cookies of its own and allows none to be set by anyone else. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no preference cookies and no session cookies, because there is no server-side application and no session to maintain.

The site uses no analytics service, no tag manager, no tracking pixel, no fingerprinting, no session recording and no advertising or retargeting technology. It builds no profile of you.

A cookie is stored by your browser and sent back to a server with every request to it, which is what makes cookies usable for tracking. Local storage is different: it is a key-value store in your browser, read only by code from the same site running on your own device, and its contents are not attached to network requests.

Nothing this site writes to local storage is transmitted to the firm, to its hosting provider or to any third party. The firm cannot read it.

The site writes exactly two entries. Both are functional: without them the site would forget your storage choice and your language on every page load.

• velchanos_cookie_consent — records whether you accepted or rejected the storage notice, so the notice appears once rather than on every visit. Held in your browser local storage. Persists until you clear your browser data. Never leaves your device.
• velchanos_locale — records the interface language you selected from English, Spanish, Portuguese, French or Italian, so the site opens in that language next time. Held in your browser local storage. Persists until you clear your browser data. Never leaves your device.

Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 requires consent before information is stored on a user's device, except where the storage is strictly necessary to provide a service the user has requested. Both entries fall within that exception: one exists solely to record and honour the choice you made about storage, the other solely to deliver the site in the language you asked for.

Neither entry is used for analytics, measurement or advertising, and neither is shared. The notice shown on a first visit is there so that your choice is recorded and respected, not because the law requires consent for these two entries.

You can delete both entries at any time from your browser: clear site data for velchanos.com, or remove the individual keys through your browser's developer tools. You can also block local storage for the site entirely, or browse in a private window, in which case the entries are discarded when you close it.

If you delete them, the site still works. The storage notice will appear again on your next visit, and the interface will open in English until you choose a language again. Nothing else changes.

The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser requests font files from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. These requests set no cookies and store nothing on your device, but, like any request to a third-party server, they disclose your IP address and standard technical request data to Google LLC in the United States. This is the only third-party request the site makes, and the Privacy Policy describes it in more detail.

If you prefer not to make it, block remote fonts or third-party requests in your browser. The site remains fully readable with your system fonts.

If the firm ever introduces analytics, advertising or any other non-essential storage or tracking technology, this policy will be updated before that technology goes live, and consent will be requested where the law requires it. Until then the description above is exhaustive: no cookies, two functional local storage entries, and one request for web fonts.
